However, it seems like a new front is taking shape and Sharp is one of the few manufacturers with an early headstart. Officially launched today in Singapore are the new Aquos A83-, A63- and A53-series with enhanced audio and visual capabilities. These supplement its current models, totaling a sizeable 11 lineups or 30 panels for its 2007 ensemble.
Finding their way into the A83 and 53 are the new 100/120Hz Fine Motion Advanced function. This renders onscreen pictures at twice the normal frame rate, inserting additional interpolated images to theoretically deliver blur-free visuals. While this is nothing new for LCD TVs, Sharp is claiming the former is the world’s first full-HD model with such frame-doubling function. Panel resolution aside, vendors in Asia with similar offerings include Toshiba, JVC and Sony.
