LCD TV – Making There Way In Many Homes

Remember those larger TVs that were about two feet deep and had to be same length from the wall? It hasn’t been that long since they started to lose popularity. Many people still have them, but most want the new technology.

On the first arrivals of the LCD television, most people couldn’t even think of a way to afford one. You could walk into your local mall and see a 55″ on display at an electronics store for as much as $20,000. That’s more than a car costs.

A growing number of houses have now decided to replace their old TV with the new. Some have the LCD TV in their living room, bedroom and in the kitchen too. But many only have one in the living room. Whether you watch cable, movies or play video games, owning a flat screen LCD makes the viewing experience so much better.

There’s two different ways to display an LCD television. The first way is to simply have it on a flat panel TV stand. This will also hold your DVD player, movies, game consoles, ect. Depending on the depth of the television stand, this shouldn’t take up too much space as the TV can be placed only several inches from the wall.

What’s becoming even more popular is by mounting it directly to the wall. You can purchase a mount for less than the average stand costs and it looks much nicer and is completely out of the way. You can also buy mounts that swivel to give the you a very large angle of view.

Prices rang from several hundred dollars and still well into the 1000s if you’re looking for a bigger screen. As America is a “shopping central”, most people buy the largest they can afford. Larger TVs for the living room and smaller TVs for places like the kitchen or bedroom.

Since the widespread introduction of high definition television channels, a large number of people are watching cable in such clarity, they can see extremely high detail of pretty much everything. If you have not watched an HD channel on an HD LCD TV, now’s the time to do it.
